Athletics

At Kid's Community College, we celebrate the unique qualities of each student and strive to create a learning environment where each student can reach their full potential. We offer a robust sports program, which allows students to practice and compete within the school population as well as with other area charter schools. We offer intermural and varsity after-school sports to further refine ability and teamwork skills.

Sports

KCC South and Southeast:

Cross Country is a 8 week program offered at Kids Community College’s Kids Community College South and Southeast for grades 3 - 8, and kicks off our charter school athletic schedule. Starting the first week of September, and ending in mid October, Kids Community College’s cross country program offers its students the opportunity to compete against neighboring charter schools, as well as national competition with our annual Disney race in Orlando, FL.

Soccer at Kids Community College’s South and Southeast coexist with cross country and is also a 6 week program that also kicks off our charter school athletic schedule. Kids Community College currently offers competitive soccer and instruction for grades 3 - 8 in separate elementary and middle school divisions.

Street Hockey at Kids Community College’s South and Southeast is a 8 week program that is sponsored by Tampa’s own, Tampa Bay Lightning. Street Hockey is one of our most popular and successful sports offered at Kids Community College. Starting immediately after cross country and soccer season, street hockey ends out our fall semester. Our South campus was last years junior varsity champion and we expect great things from both our South and Southeast programs in the near future. Grades that currently compete in our athletic charter league are 3rd - 8th in separate elementary and middle school divisions.

Volleyball at Kids Community College’s South and Southeast is a 8 week program that coexist with street hockey. Volleyball is coed, and offers instructional, competitive, and the opportunity to compete against neighboring charter schools. We currently offer competitive and instructional volleyball for grades 3-8 in separate, elementary and middle school divisions.

Flag Football at Kids Community College’s South and Southeast is a 8 week program and is also our first sport of the new year. Flag football is also apart of our athletic charter league, offering competitive and instructional flag football for grades 3 - 8 in separate, elementary and middle school divisions.

Basketball at Kids Community College’s South and Southeast is a 8 week program and is our last sport of the charter school athletic league schedule. We currently offer a competitive program that allows our students to learn the sport, and compete against neighboring charter schools. We are currently taking enrollments for the upcoming season in April.

KCC Orange:

Soccer Club - Soccer club is a 6 week program offered at Kids Community College’s Orange Campus. Soccer Club offers a competitive and learning environment for our students in an after school athletics environment. This is a coed after school sport, and is offered for grades VPK-5.

Basketball Club - Basketball club follows soccer club, and is also 6 weeks of instructional basketball for VPK-5th grade students.

Street Hockey Club is a new addition to KCC Orange, and is also coed instruction. This after school sport is available for VPK - 5th grade students.

KCC High School:

In it’s first year as an established institution, Kids Community College’s athletic program has successfully started a football, basketball, and volleyball club with hopes of adding competitive track and field, and boys and girls basketball in the near future. The high school has also adopted the giving back aspect in sports, and allowed it’s students to earn community service hours for coaching at its sister schools for grades 3 - 8.
